The Story

Origins
2018-2020
The vision behind Creative Universe has always been to create an ecosystem where I can authentically showcase my talents and artistic pursuits, each finding a space to thrive in its own unique context. My journey began in middle school, editing video blogs—what we now call "vlogs"—capturing candid moments with friends and highlighting the energy of those experiences. Even at that early stage, I recognized that this was the creative environment I aspired to build: a space that allowed me to fully immerse myself and explore different modes of expression.Throughout this process, discovering the right creative spark was essential—especially as someone whose ideas often merge and intersect in unexpected ways. In the fall of 2018, I quietly coined the term "pauloverse," which served as a foundational concept for what would become my next major project. This vision truly began to take shape during the summer of 2019, when I started releasing music under the moniker "paulø." This venture marked the official launch of what has now become the flagship branch of my overall brand.Although my early mini-vlogs were simply edited on iMovie using my old iPhone 8, I consistently shared these short videos within the original 60-second posting limit of early TikTok. I posted under the alias paulquotes, a name not derived from my real name or as an innuendo, but rather a nickname my friends and classmates gave me after noticing my knack for making spontaneous, offbeat, and humorous remarks in class. I was known as a bit of a troublemaker, but I’ve come to appreciate how those qualities shaped the distinct identity I now proudly embrace. To my surprise, the response to my content far exceeded my expectations. This experience led me to realize that my motivation extended beyond simply attracting attention—I was inspired by the prospect of bringing people together and capturing their personalities through my videos. My approach became about authentically highlighting the moments, humor, and genuine interactions of those around me, using my lens to showcase the real character and spirit present in each situation.

The Prime
2020-2022
During the onset of the pandemic, I found myself searching for new avenues to channel my creativity. Spending over a year at home inspired me to make the most of my surroundings. With my Xbox, I began streaming gameplay, later accessing the VODs for editing and sharing. Dedicating a couple of hours each day to games like Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite—especially honing my skills in Roblox—led me to experiment with a new direction: gaming content creation. With platforms like YouTube and TikTok flourishing and audiences turning to their favorite creators, I decided to launch my own Twitch channel under the name “arsenalweeb,” eventually rebranding as “weebthekid” to further cultivate a playful identity and build rapport with my viewers. As the name implied, I concentrated on streaming “Arsenal,” a dynamic, team-based FPS on Roblox that was both popular and easy to master. I adopted the “.exe content” editing style—marked by energetic memes, quick cuts, zooms, and comedic commentary—which resonated with the trends of the time. The appeal was immediate: the gaming audience was highly engaged, open to fresh content, and my videos began to gain significant traction. Within 10 videos, my content had surpassed 100,000 views, with series like “The Roblox Experience” and the viewer-favorite “Murder Mystery MADNESS” earning particular praise. This momentum made me realize the potential for expansion, so I began creating videos centered on Minecraft and Five Nights at Freddy’s, especially the latest title, “Ultimate Custom Night.” This game, known for its chaotic nature, was the perfect canvas for my unfiltered commentary and high-energy edits. The result was “FNaF on CRACK,” which reached roughly 1.2 million views—a milestone that felt surreal and validating. Yet, throughout the process, my main motivation wasn’t profit, but a genuine desire to entertain and connect with others. After the success of “weebthekid,” I rebranded to “paulquoted” to align with my main channel “paulquotes.” In retrospect, this was a misstep, as it inadvertently led to a shadow ban and confusion among viewers, some of whom assumed my account had been hacked. The absence of a dedicated YouTube channel further limited my reach—a missed opportunity in growing my audience and sharing my work more widely.Simultaneously, I began exploring music production, starting modestly and joining Discord communities to connect and learn from others. It was through the Illumi Discord server that I encountered rising talents in the modern EDM sphere, sparking further inspiration. Initially, I experimented with both FL Studio and Ableton, but ultimately settled on FL Studio, recognizing that many accomplished producers favored it. My early music was admittedly rudimentary and unrefined, but I was driven by a desire to create a unique blend of EDM subgenres—Future House, Hybrid Trap, and Future Pop—interwoven with popular mainstream styles. My core ambition was to establish a sound that merged nostalgia with forward-thinking, electronic sensibilities. My first attempt, a Future Pop track called “u and me” (since deleted), drew inspiration from artists like Ellis and Osrin and gave me invaluable insight into developing and marketing my style. I gravitated toward the evolving genre of Future Bounce, aiming to cultivate a sound that was both recognizable and distinct—anthemic in nature yet deeply emotional. My overarching mission became clear: to craft a consistent, nostalgia-tinged style infused with anthemic euphoria. The path forward involved countless hours honing my craft, continually seeking the perfect melodies and sonic textures that would distinguish me within the community and fulfill my creative vision.

Finding my Spark
2022-Present
Heading into high school, a change in devices resulted in losing access to my original gaming TikTok account. Though disappointed, I discovered I was still logged in on my laptop—allowing me to archive my old videos and close that chapter, which I now recall fondly as a formative, if clumsy, project. This early experience directly inspired the launch of my YouTube persona “pauloisntfunny,” where I set out to recapture the spontaneous creativity and humor that defined my first ventures into content creation. With the start of high school, I also acquired my first digital camera—a Panasonic FZ300, an affordable yet practical tool with impressive zoom. Experimenting with filming and editing, I reignited my passion for personal vlogs, simultaneously learning to create “hype videos” for my school’s broadcasts and sports teams. My storytelling evolved as I realized how much power lay in the interplay of camera work, editing, and selecting authentic moments. My first official vlog on the newly created “paulquotes” YouTube channel—a Homecoming Week chronicle—mirrored my original content style: genuine, energetic snapshots of my friends and our high school adventures. Though this channel didn’t match the gaming account’s reach, I was unconcerned, finding fulfillment in documenting my growth both as a person and as a creator.Throughout my school years, my music journey quietly progressed. I steadily refined my approach until I hit my stride with Future Bounce, as shown in my remix of “Ready To Go” by PANIC! at the Disco. The positive reception spurred the release of more remixes and original tracks, and eventually, my music found its way to small but respected labels like Bouncity, Red Ocean, and MNTN Records. I aspired to craft a style that listeners would instantly recognize, and in my drive to diversify, I introduced a new alias—kl3ur—alongside my established identity as paulø.Embracing multiple creative aliases empowered me to pursue distinct artistic visions within one cohesive world. By 2023–2025, it became clear: kl3ur and paulø embody different but interconnected aspects of my artistry. Kl3ur explores the experimental—fusing vocals, sounds, and visuals with a raw, expressive edge—while paulø is devoted to highly produced, energetic EDM that invites a wider audience in. This duality is rooted in the same dedication to digital creativity and self-taught discipline, with kl3ur embodying the avant-garde, introspective side, and paulø serving as the accessible, emotionally-driven musical storyteller. This multifaceted approach extends to my YouTube channels, each reflecting a unique facet of my creative universe. TheDrillPad is marked by cinematic storytelling, commentary, and a poetic, conceptual tone; pauloisntfunny amplifies chaos, humor, and Gen Z sensibilities through fast-paced, meme-heavy gaming edits; paulquotes delivers introspective vlogs, fusing narration and documentary style for emotional resonance. Despite their differences in tone—TheDrillPad being stylized and thoughtful, pauloisntfunny raw and comedic, and paulquotes personal and reflective—they all share a foundation of self-awareness, inventive editing, and a voice centered on authentic creative expression.Ultimately, the lesson has been clear: I create for the joy of it, not to impress others, building a personal constellation of projects and identities that together form the “Creative Universe”—a space where every vision finds its place, and I am free to explore every corner of my creativity.
